Are you concerned about the role of alcohol or drugs in your life or a loved one’s life? Watertown resident and therapist Deborah Sosin, LICSW, author of the newly released Sober Starting Today Workbook: Powerful Mindfulness & CBT Tools to Help You Recover from Addiction, hosts a panel discussion about how mindful and compassionate approaches, along with CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) techniques, offer a practical, hopeful path forward. Joining Deborah are experts Christopher Willard, PsyD, author of How We Grow Through What We Go Through, among many titles; and psychiatrist Lawrence Peltz, MD, author of The Mindful Path to Addiction Recovery. The conversation will be geared to anyone curious about sobriety as well as those who want to cut back on substances without quitting altogether.

Health professionals and counselors working in the addiction field are also invited. Meet members from the local Watertown Cares Network and learn about efforts in place to address substance use disorders in our community. Q&A and book signing will follow the presentation.
