Lantern Painting for Mid-Autumn Festival

The Chinese American Association of Watertown invites you to share in the Chinese cultural tradition of lantern painting (no artistic skills necessary) and hear stories of the Mid-Autumn Festival. The Chinese American Association of Watertown is dedicated to fostering cultural unity, community empowerment, and social integration for individuals of Chinese heritage in the Watertown area.
The 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival will take place on Tuesday September 17, which is the 15th day of the 8th month on the lunar calendar that traditionally coincides with the end of summer harvest. Come learn about the various traditions and make your own lantern for the festival!
Please note:
- Please register once per family/household. Families, guardians with kids, and households will work on one lantern together to take home.
- This event is offered a second time on Saturday morning. Please only sign up for one session as spots are limited.
