Laser Cut Veneer Inlay

Monday, December 167:00—9:00 PMHatch Makerspace20 Summer St, Watertown, MA, 02472

Learn to create precise and intricate wood inlay patterns using Hatch’s laser cutter and domestic hardwood veneer. Each veneer piece is labeled with the type of tree it comes from, so you can learn more about these different woods from North America. For this workshop the inlay designs will be provided, but you will learn the skills to create your own designs and projects.

If you have a laptop, please bring it with you and download the latest version of the software program Inkscape before class: https://inkscape.org/

Prior training on Hatch’s laser cutter is required to attend this workshop. Please bring your Maker Card to show your tool training record.
Learn more about the laser cutter and sign up for a training here: https://watertownlib.org/lasercutter

Participants must be age 16+ and have completed the initial Learn the Laser Cutter Training session at Hatch. Children ages 16-17 may attend on their own as long as their parent or legal guardian cosigns Hatch's waiver form in person before the event.

This workshop starts on time. If you are late your spot may be given to someone on the waitlist.
