Introduction to the Sewing Machine

Learn how to use a sewing machine! We will cover the basics of threading a machine, changing stitches, tension, and several tips to get started.

All sewing machines and materials will be provided by Hatch.  Please do not bring your own sewing machine. 

This workshop is designed for sewing novices or beginners who need a refresher.
Participants must be age 10 or older. Anyone under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Children ages 12-17 may attend on their own if their parent or legal guardian first cosigns Hatch's waiver form in person. 

This workshop starts on time. If you arrive late, your spot may be given to someone on the waitlist.

This event takes place at WFPL’s Hatch Makerspace, located at 20 Summer Street in Watertown, just a few blocks away from the Library. Hatch is an entirely free workspace full of tools and materials that you can use anytime we're open.
