(Virtual) Cooking Nepali Cuisine with Namita

Welcome Soup Season with Watertown Resident Namita! Namita will demonstrate a Nepali tradition of preparing soup dishes from fermented vegetables, including Gundruk ko Jhol and Tama Aloo and Bodi. Gundruk ko Jhol is a kind of soup made with fermented and dried leafy greens, and Tama Aloo and Bodi is another kind of soup made with fermented bamboo shoots mixed with black-eye peas and potato. Namita will also make tomato relish that accompanies a main dish.

The Library will send a list of ingredients the week prior to the event if you wish to cook along with Namita from
