Learn the ins, outs, and intricacies of ornate stab binding. The bookbinding technique called “stab binding” has existed for hundreds of years and can be used to make incredibly simple as well as extraordinarily complex designs on the edges of hand bound books with soft covers. This set of techniques is typically called Japanese stab binding in the United States. In this workshop you will learn the basics of this versatile method and how to create an image on the edge of your hand-bound book using the binding thread itself!

This workshop is for adults and older children ages 12+.
